On Saturday 14 November from 6pm, the Institut français in Vientiane moves to the rhythm of the Lao International HipHop Festival: breaking, dance battles, DJ sets and showcases, with Lao dancers and guests. The festival: founded in 2017, the Lao International HipHop Festival is a cultural platform promoting hip hop, breaking, music, street art and youth creativity in Laos. It connects local and international communities through competitions, live performances, artistic exchange and cultural collaboration. The organiser: Fanglao Studio Sole Co., Ltd. is a Vientiane-based creative company specialising in dance education, choreography, professional performance production, artist development and cultural event organisation. Led by Director Ounla Phaoudom, it supports the development of the performing arts and creative opportunities for young people in Lao PDR.
